AGING ROOM QUATTRO NICARAGUA SONATA | CIGAR REVIEW

Updated: Feb 19

OCTOBER 15, 2023 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

AGING ROOM QUATTRO NICARAGUA SONATA VIBRATO (6 x 54)

WRAPPER: NICARAGUA

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: NICARAGUA

Sonata has a perfectly smooth draw. Smoke output would fill a room in short order. Spice hits hard, followed by earth, light cream, and smooth nuttiness.

Spice and leathery coffee sit deep on the finish. Earth and light spice blow through the retrohale. Nose hairs remain intact. Not sure if that’s good or bad. Dan Aykroyd clipping his nose hairs in The Great Outdoors jumps in my head. Classic comedy. Still one of my favorites.

Ash tends to be flaky but hangs on well to an even burn line.

Sonata begins to fade near the half. Earth takes the lead, cream and smooth nuttiness remain light, and spice fades to more of a slight tingle. “Slight tingle” made me laugh a little. Not out loud.

The burn starts falling behind and requires a hefty touch-up as Sonata’s goodness continues to fade. It remains smooth, but there’s not much left to it.

SMOKE TIME: 2 hrs. 24 mins.

RATING: 2.5 / 4 - A slight tingle.

I’ve smoked the aging room Quattro Nicaragua and they don’t even compare to aging rooms f55 cigars they had. Those F55s were phenomenal and worth every penny and deserved their high ratings. I wish the f55s were still around but those Sumatra wrappers were limited in quantity unfortunately. Now I’ve seen a few stores online claim they still have stock of these and if it fact they do I’m definitely grabbing a box. Their probably going to have some great aging on them
