AJ FERNANDEZ NEW WORLD DECENIO TORO (6 1/2 x 54)
WRAPPER: MEXICO
BINDER: NICARAGUA
FILLER: NICARAGUA, HONDURAS

Decenio’s presentation is perfect. No surprise there. AJ tends to know what he’s doing.
A perfect draw, generous smoke output, and solid ash. Again, no surprise.
Gentle spice wraps itself around milk chocolate and earth. All three hang together on the finish with spice ticking up just slightly there. Milk chocolate and earth flow through the retrohale, lingering just a bit.

The burn line speaks for itself.
To say this cigar is smooth would be an understatement.
Yesterday was spent at the Louder than Life Music Festival with my son. We were primarily there to see Superheaven, Fleshwater, Stone Temple Pilots, A Perfect Circle, and Deftones. We were not disappointed. Deftones even opened with my son’s favorite song of theirs, “Be Quiet and Drive”. He was quite happy. They transitioned from there into my second favorite Deftones’ song, “My Own Summer”. I was quite happy. One highlight was getting to see Josh Freese drum with A Perfect Circle. He also guest drummed for Stone Temple Pilots’ last song, “Sex Type Thing”. Rock on!
I will say, it has been a while since I have been to a music festival. I believe the last one was Lollapalooza in 2003. The festivalgoers’ outfits have changed quite a bit since 2003. Apparently, clothing has become somewhat optional. Looks like I’m officially the old guy now.
Milk chocolate moves to dark chocolate as coffee drops in. Excellent.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 49 mins.
RATING: 3.5 / 4 - No surprise.
