ALEC BRADLEY FILTHY HOOLIGAN SHAMROCK 2024 | CIGAR REVIEW

APRIL 21, 2024 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

ALEC BRADLEY FILTHY HOOLIGAN SHAMROCK 2024 TORO (6 x 50)

WRAPPER: HONDURAS, NICARAGUA

BINDER: ECUADOR

FILLER: HONDURAS, PANAMA

Dry grass, earth, a pinch of milk chocolate, and spice flow through the Shamrock’s initial draws. They work well together. Excellent draw by the way. Smoke output is a room filler.

Everything from the draw lingers on the finish, but a bit more delicately. Milk chocolate leads through the nose with grass and earth close behind and in equal servings. Spice and milk chocolate float from the foot.

Barber pole cigars tend to be a bit on the disappointing side for me, but the Shamrock is proving to be quite enjoyable and well-balanced so far.

The burn line runs fairly straight, joined by a solid ash that holds on well. Suddenly, the song “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips jumps in my head. Just three girls walking around and making it awkward. That’s what I remember from the music video. Anyway.

Cream starts to build, cushioning the spice, milk chocolate, earth, and dry hay that seem to be having a nice conversation. Coffee finds a spot for itself later down the road.

Did Wilson Phillips ever experience turmoil within the band? For some reason I seem to remember there was turmoil. Probably. Seems like a lot of mediocre music groups (The three of them weren’t really a band.) break up. Probably because they’re mediocre.

A tri-wrapper cigar and a singing trio all in one review. Lucky you. I like the cigar better.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 57 mins.

RATING: 3.25 / 4 - Better than Wilson Phillips.
