ARTESANO DEL TOBACCO VIVA LA VIDA 5TH ANNIVERSARIO CLUB 500 SABROSO (5 1/4 x 56)
WRAPPER: HABANO CONNECTICUT MADURO
BINDER: NICARAGUA
FILLER: NICARAGUA

Earth and dark chocolate take up most of the space in the draw until it settles just prior to the exhale. That’s when spice envelopes everything with both strength and balance. It doesn’t overwhelm either of the former, but it enhances the dark chocolate a bit more.
An underlying and underdeveloped vegetal note finds its way from the end of the draw to a quick exit on the finish. Spice lingers from pull to finish and to the next pull.
Draw is easy; smoke is heavy.

Ash keeps hangin’ on, and the burn keeps on keepin’ on. Nice.
Spice mellows but remains as a main component. The dark chocolate’s bitterness sinks into the palate, which plays well with spice and coffee that has recently joined the mix. Cream also joins, providing a mocha feel while it blends with coffee and dark chocolate.
5th Anniversario performs well, and takes its time flowing into a dark and heavy ending.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 28 mins.
RATING: 3 / 4 - Dark and heavy.
