APRIL 20, 2026 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

BARIAY 1492 BLACK LABEL TORO (6 x 54)

WRAPPER: MEXICAN SAN ANDRÉS MADURO

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: NICARAGUA

Black Label’s draw and smoke output are easy to like; both are perfect. Mild coffee, dark earth, and an underlying sweetness develop quickly.

Clean retrohale with some subtle earth and spice. The finish is clean as well, allowing lingering bits of spice, sweetness, and some coffee with a few dark chocolate chips at the bottom of the mug.

The burn line speaks for itself.

Molasses peeks in from time to time, checking in on things like a part-time dad. What’s up, buddy?

Thanks to CigarCraig for sending both this cigar and the Bariay 1492 Red Label for me to review!

SMOKE TIME: 2 hrs. 6 mins.

RATING: 3 / 4 - What’s up, buddy?
