DIESEL VINTAGE SERIES | CIGAR REVIEW

SEPTEMBER 17, 2023 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

DIESEL VINTAGE SERIES ROBUSTO GORDO (5 x 56)

WRAPPER: MEXICAN SAN ANDRÉS NÉGRO

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: NICARAGUA

This Diesel conjures graham cracker, drops of honey, maple wood, and spice. Earth, maple, and spice saturate the finish on a low simmer. Earth, honeycomb, and mild coffee dance through the retrohale.

The draw flows perfectly, and the heavy smoke output would likely fill a room. That’s a guess since I’m hangin’ out on the porch. Guesstimate? I’ve never been sold on that word. Estimate seems to work just fine.

Maple syrup hangs in the air with wood and honey.

Diesel smokes quite smoothly. Not a touch of harshness.

Leather and prune start having some short discussions at the halfway mark. Nice little combo. Could be an intellectual conversation. Not sure. I don’t speak leather or prune. I’m sure some hippie does. Maybe all hippies do. I don’t know.

Burns nice and even. I dig it.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 21 mins.

RATING: 3.25 / 4 - No guesstimates.
