DUNBARTON TOBACCO & TRUST SOBREMESA BRÛLÉE BLUE (6 1/4 x 46)
WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN CONNECTICUT SHADE
BINDER: MEXICAN SAN ANDRÉS
FILLER: NICARAGUA

Blue’s draw and smoke output are pure perfection. Spice, earth, and light coffee mix well with the sweetened cap. Smoke begins to develop a slightly creamy texture a few minutes after the first puff.
Bits of cinnamon candy develop on the draw and linger into the finish, sinking shallowly into the tongue.
Ash holds on well to a respectable burn line that requires no work from me.

Each puff begins to take on an old school candy store sweetness. Not this or that candy in particular, but the core sweetness of each candy morphing into the fragrance of the store that finds its way to all of my senses via a lot of memories. I was a fat kid. Candy stores were awesome. I dig it.
I’m a toro fan, but I have to admit that the 46 ring gauge just might be the sweet spot when it comes to cigars.
Lightly buttered popcorn finds its way into the mix. Nice.
The retrohale provides a pleasant light coffee with just a hint of sweet cream. Clean.
Blue definitely fits the bill for an extremely well-balanced, smooth, and, maybe most importantly, relaxing cigar. Well done.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 17 mins.
RATING: 3.5 / 4 - Sweet spot.
