DUNBARTON TOBACCO & TRUST SOBREMESA SOLITA RED (6 1/4 x 46)
WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN HABANO
BINDER: MEXICAN SAN ANDRÉS NEGRO
FILLER: NICARAGUA, USA (PENNSYLVANIA)

Things start a bit harsh with Solita Red, but it settles into a sweet dark wood and well-balanced spice fairly quickly. Smooth draw with a generous smoke output. Burn waves a bit, but it causes no issues for me.

Coffee and leather push through just before the half, and they both find their way to the finish with leather taking on a more prominent role there. Creamy dark chocolate and citrus join within the next few pulls and head out the retrohale as well.
Nothing really seems to want to push very hard, and harshness makes frequent visits throughout.
Solita Red performed fairly well but seemed like it wanted to go further, offer more, but something held it back. Maybe a lost love, a lost set of keys. Who knows?

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 31 mins.
RATING: 3 / 4 - A lost set of keys?
