HVC HOT CAKE GOLDEN LINE LAGUITO NO. 5 (6 x 54)
WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN CONNECTICUT
BINDER: NICARAGUA
FILLER: NICARAGUA

Cream, spice, mild coffee, and sweetness, leaning towards vanilla, hit the palate at first puff. Yes, please.
Excellent draw. Excellent smoke output. Excellent start. Let’s hope it keeps going this way.
The wrapper begins to crack just below the half, and the split works its way both upward and downward. I might have jinxed this cigar with my hope that it keeps going in a positive direction.
HVCs have been weird for me. Most have been plugged, which ultimately resulted in the wrappers splitting horribly. This one initially seemed near perfect. Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something. Seems like a fairly trivial thing to be telling me, considering the size of the universe. Maybe it would make more sense if I were a flat-earther. Mike?

Split City continues. Thoughts and prayers, people. Thoughts and prayers.
Smoke output increases in density, remaining quite creamy.
Strategic burn touch-ups and controlled smoking speed help navigate through Split City.
Bits of honey sneak around the alleys.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 42 mins.
RATING: 2.75 / 4
