MACANUDO ECUADORIAN SHADE ROBUSTO (5 x 50)
WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN SHADE
BINDER: USA BROADLEAF
FILLER: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, NICARAGUA

An easy draw initially brings in a good helping of spice, bits of slightly sweetened cream, and a layer of earth. The finish covers the palate with spice and a touch of cream. Clean retrohale pretty much keeps in line with the draw but drops the spice.
Generous smoke output with a burn that seems to be on the right track. May have a bright future ahead of him. Don’t do drugs.

Once I roll off the first clump, the ash starts to become very flaky. Not a huge deal, just messy. Burn waves in and out, but I only have to reach for my lighter a couple of times.
Things slowly taper off. Spice drops and cream loses any sweetness it had. Leather pokes its head in every now and then.
Tends to run the same path as a lot, if not all, shades I’ve smoked. Pair it with something you dig, and the excitement might be better. To be fair, shades aren’t really designed to be exciting. That’s alright.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 29 mins.
RATING: 2.75 / 4 - Kept its nose clean.
