Golden Nugget’s hefty smoke brings honey, earth, coffee, and mild leather to the palate, and if I were in my shed today, I imagine the smoke output would fill the place in short order. Excellent.
Earth, salt, and coffee drop through the nose. The finish host coffee, leather, and a touch of sweetened grains. That sweetness leans towards honey.
Spice and graphite meander in from time to time, never disrupting the smooth flow, just adding some variety.
The burn stays on the straight and narrow.
Bits of dried stone fruit start to hit near the end.
If you want something mild and smooth that won’t take a lot of time, this might be the one.
