MACANUDO INSPIRADO TERCIO-AGED | CIGAR REVIEW

JUNE 11, 2023 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

MACANUDO INSPIRADO TERCIO-AGED TORO (6 x 54)

WRAPPER: MEXICAN SAN ANDRÉS

BINDER: INDONESIAN BEZUKI

FILLER: PILOTO CUBANO SECO, PILOTO CUBANO LIGERO, COLOMBIAN SECO

Lighting up the Tercio-Aged, I’m greeted with aromas of fruit and herbal sweetness. That’s somewhat interesting. Spot-on draw with a smoke output to match.

Sweetness provides a sturdy foundation for earth, spice, and an herbal note to mingle. Mild. Sweet grains and the slightest touch of chocolate flow through the retrohale. Slightest touch? Imagine someone just ate a chocolate bar and then coughed in your buddy’s face who happens to be sitting by you. You might say something like, “That guy just coughed in your face. I think I smell chocolate. You feel like getting some chocolate? Here’s a napkin.”

Perfect day outside today, so I’ve opted to hang out on the back porch. It’s become one of my favorite spots over the past few years. Seems like it will continue to be that way for several more.

The finish mimics the draw with just a bit of that coughed chocolate added into the mix.

Ash hangs on well and breaks away easily.

Chocolate begins to find its way into the draw. Regular chocolate, not couged chocolate.

Tercio-Aged is smooth.

Creaminess begins to build and levels out a bit well into the second third.

Good burn. No touch-ups, just a few smoke rolls™ here and there.

Worth a smoke with your buddy. Toss him one from your own stash for taking that cough to the face. You’ll have plenty of time to bust his chops.

SMOKE TIME: 2 hrs. 15 mins.

RATING: 3.25 / 4 - One for your buddy.
