MACANUDO VINTAGE MADURO 2013 | CIGAR REVIEW

MACANUDO VINTAGE MADURO 2013 ROBUSTO (5 x 50)
WRAPPER: CONNECTICUT BROADLEAF MADURO
FILLER: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, BRAZIL, NICARAGUA
Perfect draw with a heavy, voluminous smoke output. And what’s in that draw? Coffee, earth, cocoa, leather, almond, citrus, and the slightest touch of white pepper spice.
A softer, more subdued fruit drops through the nose with some of that white pepper spice. Leather decays quickly on the finish, leaving room for coffee, cocoa, and white pepper spice to mingle quietly. Mingle? Not usually a fan of that word, but that’s what they seem to be doing.
Leather, earth, and dark stone fruit begin to lead the ship, but everything else can still be found walking around, just hanging out, or otherwise near the half. Smooth little trip here.
One minor burn touch-up keeps it nice and tidy, and it’s more smooth sailing from there. Cool.
SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 22 mins.
RATING: 3.25 / 4 - Mingling.
