PARTAGAS VALLE VERDE | CIGAR REVIEW

SEPTEMBER 3, 2023 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

PARTAGAS VALLE VERDE TORO (6 x 52)

WRAPPER: MEXICAN SAN ANDRÉS

BINDER: CAMEROON

FILLER: MEXICO, NICARAGUA

Earth, wood, cocoa butter, a dash of chocolate, and a pinch of spice pour through the smooth draw. The retrohale favors earth, wood, and a bit of cocoa butter. Spice takes lead on the finish, leaving room for cocoa butter and maybe something else that vanishes instantly.

Unfortunately, all five Valle Verde cigars I received did not have an optimal traveling experience, and each had cracked wrappers. Can’t really blame the cigars for that, so I’ll ignore the cracks when it comes to the rating. That being said, it's burning well so far. Way to push through and overcome. Brave?

Marshmallow starts peeking out from behind earth as wood darkens up a few notches.

Hats off to this Valle Verde for burning through the crack that went from just past the foot to the top of the band. The crack near the foot never traveled.

One of my buddy’s brothers was married to a lady named Dawn. They got divorced. My buddy’s brother said that he sometimes missed waking up at the crack of Dawn. I thought it was funny at the time. I suppose it still is. Timeless.

Harshness comes and goes towards the end.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 30 mins.

RATING: 2.75 / 4 - The crack of dawn
