VILLIGER MIAMI 2023 | CIGAR REVIEW

AUGUST 13, 2023 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

VILLIGER MIAMI 2023 CAÑONAZO (5 7/8 X 53)

WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN HABANO

BINDER: UNDISCLOSED

FILLER: PERU, UNDISCLOSED

Miami 2023 flows smoothly with vanilla, earth, coffee, and spice. Vanilla tends to quietly lead the pack through the draw. The retrohale is a bundle of earth wrapped in a thin sheet of vanilla. A subtle and clean finish lightly holds on to earth, coffee, and the smallest splash of vanilla.

Smoke flows effortlessly and plentifully.

“Miami 2023” seems like either the title for a zombie apocalypse movie or what you might see printed on matching T-shirts for a family reunion vacation. “York Family Reunion - Miami 2023 - Live, Laugh, York.” Those T-shirts are always so witty. Anyway.

Removing the second band results in a slight tear to the wrapper. Hopefully we’ll burn through that.

Coffee and earth take over the draw, and the finish keeps the coffee while kicking in the slightest bit of leather. Still clean. Earth begins the retrohale with walnut finishing it out.

Burned right through that tear.

Vanilla makes a comeback towards the end. I’ll take it.

It’s really quite a smooth cigar. The kind that would be nice for just sitting on the porch and doing a bit of nothing. I’m in the shed today, but whatever. “Miami 2023 - Sit on the porch and do a bit of nothing.”

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 43 mins.

RATING: 3 / 4 - Just sitting on the porch.
