LA GIANNA HAVANA NATURAL | CIGAR REVIEW

JUNE 16, 2024 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

LA GIANNA HAVANA NATURAL TORO (6 x 54)

WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN CONNECTICUT

BINDER: HONDURAS

FILLER: HONDURAS

Gianna’s smooth draw ushers in spice, earth, and a bit of honey. Not to be confused with Bit-O-Honey candy. I used to like those. I still might. Haven’t had one in a while. That spice encompasses but doesn’t overwhelm. Earth and smooth leather flow through the retrohale. Spice, coffee, and the slightest touch of honey lingers on the finish.

Smoke output is more than generous, and smoke continues to flow from the cap and foot while Gianna rests.

The burn began to wave significantly near the half, but a few smoke rolls™ fixed that, and Gianna burned superbly prior and afterwards. My lighter got to be lazy, which I’m not sure if it was appreciative as it’s an inanimate object.

Aside from honey fading from the mix, Gianna moved along consistently like a solid bass player in a rock band. An underappreciated quality indeed.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 27 mins.

RATING: 3.25 / 4 - A solid bass player.
