JUNE 2, 2024 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

RED ANCHOR GUNNER (6 1/2 x 43)

WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN HABANO 2000

BINDER: DOMINICAN MONTE PLATA (KELNER FAMILY FARM)

FILLER: DOMINICAN SAN VICENTE, DOMINICAN HABANO ’92, PENNSYLVANIA

Spice, earth, butter, and graphite take center stage one at a time during Red Anchor’s intro. Maple syrup finds a spot in between. The retrohale and finish keep things simple, sampling some of the earth, graphite, and maple syrup. Spice lingers on the finish as well.

Red Anchor burns straight and pushes out plenty of smoke.

The anchor dropped near the beginning, and we floated in a consistently calm ocean here. Not too shabby.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 28 mins.

RATING: 2.75 / 4 - Drop the anchor and enjoy.
