AUGUST 31, 2025 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

ROCKY PATEL A.L.R. SECOND EDITION TORO (6 1/2 x 52)

WRAPPER: MEXICAN SAN ANDRÉS

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: NICARAGUA

A.L.R. 2.0 steps subtly with spice, earth, and coffee. Solid draw with a heavy smoke output. Coffee, spice, and cocoa powder buries into the finish. I can feel the powder. The retrohale mixes a few things tightly together without allowing for a lot of separation. Earth, cocoa, graphite, and some raisin.

Smooth cigar.

Milk chocolate, smooth leather, and spice drift from the foot.

Bits of raisin make their way to the draw. Tasty.

Burns like a champ with some smoke roll™ magic.

Spice drops out a bit, but, overall, A.L.R. 2.0 proves to be consistent from start to finish, adding touches of black licorice and dark chocolate near the end.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 58 mins.

RATING: 3.25 / 4 - Feel the powder.
