H. UPMANN NICARAGUA AJ FERNANDEZ HERITAGE | CIGAR REVIEW

JUNE 4, 2023 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

H. UPMANN NICARAGUA AJ FERNANDEZ HERITAGE TORO (6 x 54)

WRAPPER: BRAZILIAN MATA FINA

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: NICARAGUA, BRAZIL

Heritage has a perfect draw. Not snug, not wide open. A thick, heavy smoke output fills the room chocolate, wood, and spice.

Creamy milk chocolate, sweet tobacco, earth, spice, and an underlying fruit all show up for the draw. The retrohale hosts milk chocolate, subtle cinnamon, and a dash of sweet tobacco. Chocolate, coffee, and the slightest touch of spice linger pleasantly on the finish.

That reminds me of The Cranberries. “Linger” was one of their hits. I always liked them. They were unique, and their drummer, Fergal Lawler, came up with some really cool stuff. One standout for me would be his drumming for the song “Dreams”. Just the right amount of power at exactly the right times. Kind of like this Heritage.

Solid ash breaks off nice and easy.

Chocolate, sweet tobacco, and spice flow in harmony with coffee. Heritage is smooth as can be. Spice, coffee, and creamy chocolate hang together on the finish like old friends.

Smooth and tasty.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 52 mins.

RATING: 3.5 / 4 - No need to argue.
