K BY KAREN BERGER CONNECTICUT | CIGAR REVIEW

AUGUST 21, 2022 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

K BY KAREN BERGER CONNECTICUT TORO (6 x 52)

WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN CONNECTICUT

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: NICARAGUA

Earthy, spicy, and a little creamy would describe the K Connecticut well right out of the gate. It has a perfect draw and a smoke output to match.

The retrohale offers some darker earth and spice. Light cream, coffee, and spice hang around on the finish.

A fairly typical Connecticut so far.

Cream, earth, and spice pick up some berry. Reminds me of Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries. I like ‘em. Judge away, if you must.

The finish is starting to get a bit more creamy. Nice.

Coffee joins up with cream and earth. Spice and Crunch Berries have disappeared. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

Just some dark earth and a touch of cream flowing through the retrohale.

The finish holds on to the creaminess it had developed. Coffee takes the dominant spot. Spice drops to background music.

Talking over music in restaurants. Why do they have it that loud? Maybe I’m getting old.

Making our way through the finale, K Connecticut holds steady with earth, coffee, and cream. It even threw back in some Crunch Berries. Good ol’ plain Cap’n Crunch snuck in there too.

Coffee, earth, and subtle sweet cream blows through the nose. Cream, coffee and spice hold down the finish.

Construction was excellent. Not a burn touch-up to speak about.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 29 mins.

RATING: 3 / 4 - One for the Cap’n.
